Marvel Cinematic Universe has been expanding ever since the very first movie, Iron Man got released in 2008. At that time, no one had any idea as to what Kevin Feige was planning, that is, until the release of The Avengers in 2012. This movie was maybe one of the reason of the increased popularity of MCU movies at that time. Of course, Marvel was already popular enough even before the release of Iron Man, but The Avengers movies contributed in Marvel reaching even more audience.

Now, let's talk about how we should go around watching the MCU movies right from the start. There are mainly 2 orders in how you should be watching the MCU movies; Chronological Order and Release Order. But, before that, I want to make sure that now that all the Marvel movies have been shown to be connected, you will have to watch all of the movies and series to understand and enjoy everything perfectly. But, don't worry, if you just want to follow only main marvel movies, this blog is for you.

This blog will only cover the original MCU movies watch order, so it is to be understood that there won't be X-Men movies and Marvel's Netflix Series, and there won't be Spider-Man (Sam Raimi Trilogy) or TASM also. For the watching guide of the above movies, refer to the link embedded below.

Chronological Order

Chronological order means watching movies based on the order in which the events within a movie takes place and not by the release date. Personally, I would not recommend you to watch MCU movies chronologically. It would spoil all the fun. And besides, the director and producers are not dumb that they will release movies in an order which is not correct. So, your first priority should be to watch movies in the release order. But, if you still want to know the chronological order, then be it, I shall tell you.
